Proverbs 27:17: As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
This morning I was fortunate enough to spend time with a man that I never would have expected to express an interest in having a relationship with me. I feel challenged, inspired, and most of all humbled by my experience and I look forward to developing this relationship further.
For many years I missed the notion that I needed to be in touch with people who think differently than I do. Fortunately, a friend recently gave me a pointed piece of advice: Submit to someone you don't agree with.
So today I began a quest to allow myself to be sharpened... I'll keep you posted....
Proud of you :)

Ace, that's fantastic man; the only way we, as individuals and as Christians, can truly be sharpened is to be acquainted, and thus informed of that which runs against the grain of our value system. It provides the greatest opportunity to better understand the pop culture within our proximity and be connected with our society without compromising our personal character. God speed on your new adventure.
